Get Superpowers in Reviewing a Financial Model
Hi, Kyle Chaning-Pearce here.
Let me ask you a question:
Could you imagine a surgeon being self taught? Can you imagine a Civil Engineer figuring out herself how to calculate the critical load failure mechanism in a building, completely unaided?
So why do we expect people to be able to review (or build) financial models, on which billion dollar decisions are made… without any training?
If you’re already a Sherlock Holmes in the financial modeling world, look no further. However, if you need the ability to dig in, and discern the non-obvious… this course will teach you how to pull apart a financial model and scrutinise it from different angles.
Working in a role at a Professional Model Auditor, I saw people deconstruct models and be able to review them in as little as 30 minutes. Model review can take up to 200 hours... so how did they do it?
Teaching financial modeling courses, it struck me that most people who encountered models didn’t need to build them, but they needed to know what they were doing for models they already had. And people felt they didn’t have the knowledge to tamper with “someone elses model” so they just did the bare minimum with the model and “shut their eyes and hoped for the best” when running the model.
This course will give you superpowers with Excel and Financial Modeling. You’ll breeze through model review, and finally interact confidently with Excel.
I’ve distilled everything I know about reviewing financial models and put it into bite size videos that break the process down. You’ll learn
